Hello!
We have a Geomedia Webmap Publisher service published and included in a Geospatial Portal workspace.
The features names that are used in the Analysis and Data Window tools are the database table's name. Is there any way to replace this name with a user friendly name?
Thank you!

Unfortunately not. The design of the WebMap Publisher Service is to perform queries against feature classes rather than legend entries within the maps you can display through the web service.

There is no need to use the maps or the legend entries in the tools, only replacing the database table's name for user friendly name in the feature class (the same that is being done with the attributes name in the data window when data is loaded). Is there any place where I can post this suggestion to be taken in account for future upgrades? I think that this capability could be a great improvement for final users.

I agree the ability to create user friendly names for feature classes would be a good enhancement for the product.

Hello!
There is a way to modify the username of the categories. As Alina says here: http://community.hexagongeospatial.com/t5/Product-Ideas/Geomedia-Webmap-user-friendly-feature-class-...
Modifying the the WMPS service capabilities XML file works. It has no GUI and you should redo the job each time you modify something, but it works.
