Symptoms

'Path not found' when attempting to remotely connect to a service source.

Diagnosis

User has installed GeoMedia WebMap Publisher on a client machine and is attempting to remotely connect to a service source running on a separate server.

The connection fails with the following critical error:

An error occurred opening GeoMedia WebMap Publisher. Path Not Found

Solution

This error is caused by invalid paths in the registry for the registry keys 'DataFolder' and 'ProjectsFolder' found at:

64-bit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intergraph\GeoMedia WebMap Publisher\Settings

32-bit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intergraph\GeoMedia WebMap Publisher\Settings

Ensure these keys have valid paths and the remote connect will proceed without error.
