System Requirements - Android - Windows

Android - Windows



  • Microsoft® Windows® 10/8/7/Vista/2003 (32 or 64-bit)
  • 2 GB RAM minimum, 4 GB RAM recommended
  • 1280 x 800 minimum screen resolution
  • Chrome web browser



  • Open JDK

    • Set 'JAVA_HOME' environment variable:

      • Right-click the "My PC" or "Computer" icon.
      • Select Properties.
      • Click "Advanced system settings".
      • Click the "Advanced" tab.
      • Click the "Environment Variables" button.

      Windows Environment Variable

      • Click the "New..." button in "System variables" section.
      • In "Variable name" type 'JAVA_HOME'.
      • In "Variable value" set JDK installation path (for example: c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_111).
      • Click "OK" button.
      • Select "Path" variable in "System variables" section.
      • Click the "Edit..." button.
      • Append the "Path" based on JDK installation path (for example: ;c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_111\bin).
      • Click "OK" button.
    • Verify Java path in Command Prompt (cmd)

      • Type 'java -version' in Command Prompt.cmdJava8.PNG
  • Android Studio with SDK Tools

    SDK Packages

    • Open Android SDK Manager:
      • Start Android Studio,
      • From "Configure" menu select "SDK Manager"
      • android_studio_open_sdk_manager.png
    • In Android SDK Manager select following Packages:

      • Tools / Android SDK Platform-tools
      • Tools / Android SDK Build-tools
      • Android 7.1.1 (API 25) / SDK Platform
      • Android Support Repository version 43 or greater
      • Google Play Services version 38 or greater
      • Google Repository version 43 or greater


    • Click "Apply" button.

  • Node.js

    • Download Node.js version 6.9.4
    • Double-click the downloaded file.
    • Follow the installation Wizard instructions.

    Nodejs Installation

  • Git

    • Download Git
    • Double-click the downloaded file.
    • Follow the installation Wizard instructions.

    Git Installation

    • During installation select 'Use Git from the Windows Command Prompt' option.

    Git Installation Settings

  • grunt-cli

    • Start Command Prompt (cmd)
    • Execute: npm install -g grunt-cli
    • Check the installation by executing in the Command Prompt: grunt --version
